Ukraine MP On American Support: The heated debate between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office is being discussed all over the world. Meanwhile, Ukrainian MP Vadim Halychuk is confident that his country is capable of withstanding Russian attacks, even if America does not support them. Not only this, he also said that Ukraine also has a Plan B to deal with Russia.
According to Halychuk, even if America stops helping Ukraine, his country is ready to find other sources for help. He said, “We are sure. God forbid if the supplies stop, but this does not mean that we are unable to take supplies from some other countries. Most of the actions on the frontline are being carried out with the help of different types of drones that do different tasks and these are mostly made in Ukraine. Many of them are also delivered on behalf of our European partners and other partners around the world. We will continue to work with our partners, including the US, and try to clarify our position.’
‘Ukraine has faced such a situation before’
The Ukrainian MP further said that Ukraine had faced a similar situation a year ago, when US aid shipments were halted for six months. He said, “A year ago we had a very sad experience of some interruption in supplies from the US for six months. There were no supplies and this affected Ukraine’s ability to withstand Russian pressure on the front line. Due to this we had to be more serious and independent in terms of arms supplies.”
What will Ukraine do next?
Halichuk said he hoped the US would continue to support Kiev. He said Ukraine was ready to work with all allies to secure the resources needed to protect its sovereignty. The Ukrainian MP’s remarks came after a heated exchange between President Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Zelensky.
