Washington: US President Donald Trump made a very sensational statement on Tuesday. He said that Jeffrey Epstein stole many young women working at the spa of his Florida-based private club Mar-a-Lago. These included Virginia Giuffre, who had accused Epstein of sex trafficking.
Trump said – Epstein used to steal young and beautiful women
Trump said that Epstein always had an eye on young and beautiful women, he used to steal them. Earlier, Trump had said that he banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago about 20 years ago because he was taking people working for him. Earlier, Trump did not clarify who he was talking about. Now Trump told reporters in Air Force One that he was angry that Epstein was taking his employees (young women).
Why did Trump ban Epstein
President Trump said, “Those women were taken out of the spa. They were hired by Epstein. Then they left. Then I said, listen…we don’t need you taking our people away. Trump said that when this happened again, he banned Epstein. When Trump was asked if Virginia Giuffre was one of them, he first tried to avoid the matter, but then said, he stole her too. The White House has previously said that Epstein was removed from the club because he was “behaving strangely”.
Virginia had made the allegation
Virginia Giuffre had claimed that she was spotted by Ghislaine Maxwell while working at the spa in Mar-a-Lago as a teenager and then recruited as a massage therapist for Epstein, which led to sexual abuse. Although Giuffre’s allegations did not become part of the criminal cases against Epstein, she has been a central character in the conspiracy theories of the whole matter. Let us tell you that Ghislaine Maxwell was Epstein’s ex-girlfriend, who is now in prison. She has denied Giuffre’s allegations and is serving a 20-year sentence in a federal prison in Florida after she was convicted of conspiring to sexually abuse minor girls.
Maxwell’s lawyers’ demand
Maxwell’s lawyers have now appealed to the Supreme Court to review her sentence and said that if Trump pardons her, she is “willing to tell the truth” publicly. They said, “She wants an opportunity to clear up the many misconceptions and falsehoods that have spread around this case.”
