There is enthusiasm among the people of Bihar about the Amrit Bharat Express between Delhi and Sitamarhi. It will be inaugurated from Sitamarhi on Friday. The regular operation of this weekly train will start from Old Delhi Railway Station from August 9. Let us tell you what are its facilities, route and schedule
Amrit Bharat will leave from Old Delhi
This train will leave from Old Delhi every Saturday at 2 pm and will reach Sitamarhi at 10.45 am the next day. On return, it will run from Sitamarhi every Sunday. It will leave Sitamarhi at 10.15 pm on Sunday and will reach Old Delhi at 10:40 pm the next day.
This train will run between Sitamarhi and Delhi and will pass through major stations like Raxaul, Narkatiaganj, Gorakhpur, Lucknow and Kanpur. This new rail service will be inaugurated on 08 August 2025. On this occasion, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah himself will flag off this train from Sitamarhi.
Amrit Bharat Train route and time table
This inaugural train will run specially as train number 05599 (Sitamarhi-Delhi Inauguration Special). Amrit Bharat Inauguration Special train will leave Sitamarhi at 14:30 and reach Delhi at 14:00 via Bairgania (15:15), Raxaul (16:10), Narkatiaganj (17:15), Bagaha (18:20), Sisiwa Bazar (19:55), Kaptanganj (20:30), Gorakhpur (21:30), Basti (22:45), Gonda (00:35), Lucknow (03:40), Kanpur Central (06:00), Tundla (09:10), Ghaziabad (12:15). This route will also provide easy transportation to the passengers of North Bihar, Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Western Uttar Pradesh.
This train will have a total of 20 coaches, out of which 11 will be general and 8 sleeper coaches. This train will complete the journey of 1100 km in 20 hours 45 minutes. A large number of migrants and workers will benefit from the launch of this train. They will be able to travel conveniently and comfortably at affordable rates.
