I am ashamed, I apologize: Vijay Shah
On the other hand, amid the growing controversy, BJP leader and minister Vijay Shah once again apologized for his remarks against the woman officer of the Army and said that he respects ‘Sister Sophia’ and the Army. He has apologized after the High Court reprimanded him and ordered to register an FIR against him.
After the court order, the demand for immediate dismissal of Vijay Shah from the state cabinet intensified. Sharing a video on social media as the controversy grew, Shah said, “My recent statement has hurt the sentiments of the society. For this, I am not only ashamed, saddened from the heart, but also apologize.” Also, Minister Vijay Shah called Colonel Sofia a “sister of the country” and said that she has worked rising above caste and society while performing her national duty. Shah had made a controversial statement without naming Qureshi during a program organized in a village in Indore on Monday.
