Greater Noida is the most polluted city in the country.
According to the 4 pm bulletin of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh was the most polluted city in the country where AQI was recorded at 346. According to CPCB, prolonged exposure to ‘very poor’ air quality can lead to respiratory diseases.
Bihar State Pollution Control Board (BSPCB) chairman Devendra Kumar Shukla said, ‘It is true that some cities in the state are facing problems like low wind speed, ongoing construction activities without following pollution control measures and recently in Patna and surrounding areas. The air quality has deteriorated due to incidents of fire in the areas. He said that the municipal bodies will have to start water sprinkling to stop the deteriorating air quality in the state capital.
If we talk about the capital Delhi, there has been a slight increase in the level of pollution here. The air quality index here has reached close to 300. On the other hand, a decline of 24 points has been recorded in the pollution level in Faridabad, after which the air quality index there has come down to 248.
