Arvind Kejriwal complained against BJP candidate from New Delhi Assembly constituency Parvesh Verma for violation of Model Code of Conduct, based on the complaint Election Commission ordered investigation

New Delhi: The Election Commission has taken a big action on the complaint of Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal. The Election Commission has asked the Chief Election Officer of Delhi to investigate the complaint and find out the facts and take immediate appropriate action according to the Model Code of Conduct. Also, the action report in this regard will be sent to the Election Commission. On behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal had complained of violation of the Model Code of Conduct against BJP candidate Pravesh Verma from New Delhi Assembly constituency.

Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal met Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and complained about BJP leader Pravesh Verma. He met the Chief Election Commissioner and handed him a letter. Kejriwal has alleged in the letter that Pravesh Verma is openly distributing Rs 1100 to women. He is blatantly violating the election code of conduct. Pravesh Verma is asking for votes by promising jobs. Apart from this, Kejriwal has demanded that the DEO be suspended and transferred with immediate effect.
