Kejriwal asked the crowd gathered at Jantar Mantar, ‘I cannot even live with the stigma of being dishonest, leave alone working. If I was dishonest, would I have made electricity and bus travel free for women? Would I have been able to improve government schools and hospitals?’

Manish Sisodia said in a meeting held at Jantar Mantar that Arvind Kejriwal will continue to fight this battle against the Ravana of dictatorship as Ram, I will stand with him as Laxman.
Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia on Sunday compared his relationship with party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal to that of Lord Ram and Lakshman and attacked the BJP, saying no Raavan can separate them. Now the BJP retaliated, saying Sisodia is the king of drama
BJP wants to separate us: Sisodia
At Kejriwal’s first ‘Janta Ki Adalat’ rally at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi after resigning from the post of Delhi Chief Minister, Sisodia alleged that the BJP wants to separate him from Arvind Kejriwal, but no “Ravan has the power to separate Lakshman from Lord Ram.” He said, “As long as Arvind Kejriwal continues to fight this battle as Ram against the Ravana of dictatorship, I will stand with him as Lakshman.”
Sisodia said that until the public accepts him as honest, he will not hold the post of Deputy Chief Minister or Education Minister in Delhi. Kejriwal, while resigning from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi recently, had said that he will take up the post again only after getting a certificate of honesty from the people of Delhi.
ED froze my bank account-Sisodia
Attacking the BJP, Sisodia said, “When I was a journalist, I bought a small house for Rs 5 lakh in 2002 and I had Rs 10 lakh in my bank account. They seized it. My son is studying in college, and I had to ask for help from people to pay his fees, because the Enforcement Directorate (ED) froze my bank account.”
Tempted to join BJP-Sisodia
The former Deputy Chief Minister claimed that he was tempted to join the BJP after going to jail in the excise policy case. However, the Delhi unit chief of the BJP rejected the allegation and termed it “ridiculous”. Sachdeva said, “It is surprising that a month and a half after his release from jail he remembered to say such a thing through a well-crafted story.”
Virendra Sachdeva hit back saying Sisodia is the “king of drama” and is trying to project himself as Laxman ahead of next month’s Ramlila.
Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia shared memories of the days after his arrest. Know what Sisodia said?
Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday recalled his past and said that during his arrest in the Delhi liquor policy ‘scam’, his bank account was frozen by the ED and due to this he was forced to ‘beg’ for his son’s college fees. Manish Sisodia said that “In 2002, when I was a journalist, I bought a flat of Rs five lakh, it was taken away. I had Rs 10 lakh in my account, that too was withdrawn, I had to beg for help to pay my son’s fees.
Sisodia said that I had to tell people that the ED has frozen my bank account,” Sisodia shared these things on Sunday in ‘Janta Ki Adalat’ organized by AAP supremo and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Sisodia was recently granted bail by the Supreme Court in the alleged scam in the Delhi liquor policy. Sisodia was arrested by the ED in February 2023; he was granted bail by the Supreme Court in August this year.
BJP conspired to separate Ram from Lakshman
Meanwhile, in Sunday’s Janta Ki Adalat programme, he described his relationship with Kejriwal as that of ‘Ram and Lakshman’. Sisodia said, “I got an offer to join the BJP. I was told to think about myself, my ailing wife and my son. I told them (BJP), ‘You are trying to separate Lakshman from Ram. No Ravana has the power to do this.'”
On September 15, two days after he was granted bail by the Supreme Court, and nearly six months after being arrested, Kejriwal had announced that he would ‘quit the CM post in 48 hours’ and would accept the CM post only after getting a ‘certificate’ of honesty from the public.
