Aam Aadmi Party On Gujarat By Election Result: Aam Aadmi Party has given a big message to the national politics by registering a spectacular victory on two seats in the by-elections of five assembly seats. AAP’s National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that the message of our victory in Gujarat-Punjab is clear that only Aam Aadmi Party is capable of liberating this country from BJP.
The AAP chief further said, “The spectacular victory of Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat and Punjab has shown the double trust of the public. The people of Punjab have shown that they are happy with the work of the AAP government, while the people of Gujarat have shown that now they want change. In both the places, BJP-Congress together wanted to defeat AAP, but the public defeated both these parties.”
Aam Aadmi Party’s National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said in a press conference at the party headquarters on Monday (23 June), “In the by-elections held on five assembly seats, Aam Aadmi Party has won two seats. Whereas Congress, BJP and TMC have won one seat each. AAP has registered a spectacular victory in Visavadar seat in Gujarat and Ludhiana West seat in Punjab. I congratulate Sanjeev Arora, who won from Ludhiana West and Gopal Italia, who won from Visavadar, along with the people of both the states. I heartily thank the people of both the states for showing faith in Aam Aadmi Party.” ‘People are happy with the work of AAP’
Arvind Kejriwal also said, “Elections were held in Punjab in February 2022 and in Gujarat in December 2022. Aam Aadmi Party had won the Visavadar seat in Gujarat, but our MLA went to BJP and because of that this election happened. In 2022, AAP had won the Visavadar assembly seat in Gujarat and the Ludhiana West seat in Punjab by a margin of votes, today it has won both the seats by double that margin. This is a big indication that the people of Punjab are very happy with the work of the Aam Aadmi Party government.”
He further said, “In the 2022 elections, Aam Aadmi Party got 92 out of 117 seats in Punjab. It was said that there was a storm of Aam Aadmi Party. In the 2022 storm, AAP had won the Ludhiana West seat by a margin of votes, today it has won by double that margin.” ‘This is the semi-final of Punjab elections’
Arvind Kejriwal said, “Many people are saying that this by-election is the semi-final of the general elections to be held in Punjab in 2027. If this is the semi-final of 2027 and there was AAP’s storm in 2022, then AAP’s storm is going to come in 2027. These results are telling that the people of Punjab are very happy with the Aam Aadmi Party government. The Ludhiana West by-election has reflected the mood of the people of Punjab and the people have approved the work of the AAP government.”
The Aam Aadmi Party chief said, “The people of Visavadar have made AAP win with a double margin of votes this time. It is often said that only the ruling party wins the by-elections. BJP is in power in Gujarat. BJP has a strong hold on the police-administration and all the agencies are also with the BJP. BJP fights the elections using all the tricks of ‘Sam-Daam-Dand-Bhed’. In such a situation, it is very difficult to fight and win the elections in Gujarat against the BJP. Despite the BJP government, the people of Visavadar have made AAP win.” ‘People of Gujarat are fed up with misrule’
He said, “It is clear from Visavadar’s victory that the people of Gujarat are now very fed up with BJP’s 30 years of misrule and now the public has started raising its voice. Visavadar’s victory shows that the people of Gujarat have shown faith in AAP’s policy and the work done in Punjab and Delhi. The people of Gujarat have expressed faith in AAP and its leadership. People in Gujarat are fed up with BJP and Aam Aadmi Party has become a hope for them.”
‘AAP is competing with BJP in Gujarat’
Arvind Kejriwal said that in the 2022 elections, Congress got 17 seats in Gujarat and Aam Aadmi Party got 5 seats. In the last 3 years, five MLAs of Gujarat left and went to BJP, while one out of 5 MLAs of AAP went to BJP. By-elections were held last year on the seats of MLAs who left Congress and joined BJP and Congress lost all five seats. All the seats went to BJP. BJP had stolen the AAP MLA from Visavadar, today we have snatched that seat back from BJP. This means that there is a direct contest between BJP and Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat. Today the results of by-elections of two assembly seats of Gujarat came out, in which BJP won one and AAP won one.
‘Congress became BJP’s puppet’
Arvind Kejriwal said, “BJP and Congress fought the elections together on these seats. Congress has only one status in all the states that it is trying to make BJP win by becoming a puppet in the hands of BJP. In Delhi, everyone saw that Congress helped BJP. Similarly, in Visavadar also, Congress tried its best to make BJP win. Congress’s top leadership is a puppet in the hands of BJP.” ‘Congress sat in BJP’s lap’
Kejriwal said, “A common Congress worker wants to defeat BJP. A local Congress leader wants to defeat BJP. But he sees that the entire Congress leadership is sitting in BJP’s lap. Appealing to Congress workers, he said that you should not expect Congress to ever defeat BJP. Only Aam Aadmi Party is trying to save this country and states from BJP with body, mind and money. All good Congress workers should join Aam Aadmi Party, they are fully welcome.”
