BJP has suffered a major setback before the Jharkhand assembly elections. After BJP leader Kunal Sarangi joined the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, he made a big statement. After joining the party, he said, “I have returned to my family. Now I will not go to BJP again. This is the platform that Chief Minister Hemant Soren gave me to enter Jharkhand politics and serve the people.” Sarangi said, “I joined BJP because perhaps it is a national platform and through this I will get an opportunity to serve more and more people, but everything happened the opposite. There is only one criterion in BJP, if you want promotion, then you have to flatter completely and also have to achieve some degree of corruption.”
As soon as the list of BJP candidates was released, the process of leaders joining JMM has started. Former BJP minister Louise Marandi has also joined JMM by reaching the Chief Minister’s residence on Kanke Road.
Was angry with BJP
In 2014, Kunal Sarangi won the election from Baharagora assembly on a JMM ticket and reached the assembly. In the year 2019, he joined the BJP, but in the assembly elections, he had to face defeat at the hands of JMM’s Sameer Mohanty. After this election, Kunal started preparing for the Lok Sabha in his area, but during the Lok Sabha elections this year, he resigned from his post. Later he also resigned from the primary membership of BJP.
CM Soren welcomed Kunal Sarangi on his joining JMM
Chief Minister Hemant Soren wrote, “Former MLA of Baharagora Assembly and young, combative leader Kunal Sarangi is welcome back to the JMM family.” Along with Kunal Sarangi, Louise Marandi also joined Soren’s party. Former Dumka MLA Louise Marandi, who defeated Hemant Soren in the 2014 elections, expressed her displeasure by writing a long letter to BJP national president JP Nadda. She has accused the party of conspiracy, factionalism, and indiscipline.
