Bangladesh Woman Murdered: The body of a 28-year-old woman has been found in Bengaluru. The body was found lying on the banks of Kalkere Lake in Ramamurthy Nagar on Friday January 24. When the local people saw the body, they informed the police. Based on the preliminary investigation, the police suspect that the woman was first raped and then murdered.
The police have told that the woman used to work as a housemaid in an apartment. On Thursday evening, she was returning home after finishing her work, when this incident happened with her.
The police said, ‘The deceased woman is Bangladeshi. She has been living here for 6 years. Her husband is a sanitation worker in the Greater Bangalore Municipal Corporation (BBMP). The husband has a valid passport and he came to India on the basis of a medical visa. On Thursday, the woman did not come home with her fellow women. She told the women working with her that she has some work so she will be late. When she did not return home for a long time, her husband lodged a missing person’s report at the Ramamurthy Nagar police station.’
Did the woman come to meet someone?
According to the police, the woman came to this deserted area on her own. Probably she had come to meet someone. When her body was found on Friday morning, there were marks of serious injury on her head caused by a stone. It is possible that she had a fight with someone there and then this situation arose. The police have registered a case under Section 63 (rape) and Section 103 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. The post-mortem report is awaited.
