Bangladesh: Political turmoil has increased again in Bangladesh. Student agitators who ousted Sheikh Hasina from power are once again showing signs of becoming violent. BNP and leaders associated with the student movement are accusing the interim government led by Mohammad Yunus of postponing the elections.
BNP General Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that the Yunus government is deliberately avoiding elections. This is a conspiracy against democracy. Meanwhile, the party associated with the student movement has warned the Yunus government that if elections are not announced soon, there will be a strong protest on the streets.
Sarjis Alam made a big announcement
The Dhaka Tribune reported in its report that Sarjis Alam, the leader of the anti-Baisumya student movement, has resigned from the post of advisor of his organization. With this, he announced to enter politics. During a meeting in Narayanganj, he said that if there is any kind of corruption or delay during the elections, then another people’s revolution will be seen. Apart from this, he has appealed to the people to be ready to take to the streets to save democracy.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi urged to hold elections
BNP’s senior joint general secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Sunday urged the government to hold national elections soon to thwart the “dangerous plan” of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Rizvi said after paying floral tributes at the grave of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman, “Sheikh Hasina is lying in wait with a dangerous plan. National elections should be held soon to thwart this conspiracy.” He claimed that the Mohammad Yunus-led government is delaying the elections. He said that the country is eagerly waiting for free, fair and fair elections.
