Bangladesh: Temples in Bangladesh were attacked, idols of Maa Durga were damaged and donation boxes of temples were looted in Comilla district

Since the coup in Bangladesh and the formation of the interim government, many incidents of targeting Hindus and their religious places have come to the fore. Now another such incident has come to light. Temples have been attacked in Bangladesh. Not only this, idols of Maa Durga have been damaged. The latest case is from Comilla district.

A newly built idol of Maa Durga was damaged in the district. The donation box of the temple was looted. Not only this, a Durga temple has been attacked in Mirapara of Narail district. Many such incidents took place in August after the coup in Bangladesh. When along with targeting Hindus, the miscreants also targeted their religious places.

ISKCON temple was burnt in Dhaka
The miscreants had burnt the ISKCON temple in Dhaka. The rioters had demolished the Kali temple in Dhaka itself. Not only this, in August, Hindu temples were attacked in many cities. Two Hindu councilors were beaten to death. Property of Hindus was selectively targeted and damaged.

What did Mohammad Yunus say

Instead of curbing these incidents, last month, the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, Mohammad Yunus, gave a strange statement. He said that the issue of attacks on Hindus is being blown out of proportion. Not only this, he questioned India regarding this matter. Attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh are more political than communal.

Mohammad Yunus had said that I have told the Prime Minister of India that this issue is being exaggerated. Whereas this issue has many dimensions. Along with this, he had said that Bangladesh went through turmoil after the atrocities of Sheikh Hasina and Awami League. Those who were with them also had to face attacks. Yunus had also said, I am not saying that what happened is right.
