Bangladesh:-The process of forming an interim government continues after the coup, America said its government is keeping an eye on the developments

Washington: The US has said that it is ready to work with the interim government of Bangladesh. An interim government led by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus may be sworn in in Bangladesh on Thursday. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters in his daily press conference, “We are monitoring the developments in Bangladesh and we have clearly seen the appointment of Muhammad Yunus as the leader of the interim government.” On questions asked about the fast-changing developments in Bangladesh, Matthew said, “We think the interim government will take office in Bangladesh.”

Indian-American Congressman Raja Krishnamurthy has condemned the recent violence in Bangladesh, including targeting of Hindus. He said that the interim government should end the unrest across the country and punish the culprits. Krishnamurthy said in a statement on Wednesday, “As Bangladesh prepares to swear in its interim government, I urge all government officials, the new administration and police chief, and the people of Bangladesh to stop the violence across the country.
