Bareilly: Since then, the UP Police is busy searching for Ittehad-e-Millat Council (IMC) Chief Maulan Tauqeer Raza, but the police are still empty handed. Today once again the police of Bareilly’s Prem Nagar police station has reached Taukeer’s house. Police have pasted a notice of non-bailable warrant at Tauqeer Raza’s house. It has been said in the notice that if Maulana does not appear in the court on March 19, his property will be attached.

Will have to appear in court otherwise property will be confiscated
During the hearing in the riot case, ADJ Fast Track Court I Ravi Kumar Diwakar has issued NBW notice due to Maulana’s continuous absence in the court. He has also been ordered to appear in the court on March 19. If Maulana does not appear, instructions have been given to confiscate his property. Maulana Tauqeer Raza’s house is near Dargah Ala Hazrat in Kotwali police station area. A notice has been pasted at this house.

Please inform that Maulana Tauqeer Raza is said to be absconding for several days. Many police teams are conducting raids in West Bengal, Ajmer, Hyderabad, Delhi, Lucknow. Tauqeer Raza is the president of IMC party. Please inform that Maulana Tauqeer Raza is an accused in the 2010 riots. The court has issued a notice in this matter.

What was the matter?
Holi and Baravafat procession was to be taken out on 2 March 2010. However, both the processions passed off peacefully. But it is alleged that Tauqeer Raza, a resident of Saudagaran and member of Aala Hazrat family, made an inflammatory statement among a group, after which riots broke out from Qutub Khana to Kuhada Peer Bazaar of Prem Nagar. The mob of people set fire to the police post and also burnt the houses of the majority. Considering the situation in the city, curfew was imposed for 27 days.

Statement given on Haldwani
Tauqeer Raza gave a provocative statement regarding the Haldwani violence and said, “If you run a bulldozer on our house, will we keep quiet? Now no bulldozer will be tolerated. If the Supreme Court is not taking cognizance, then we will protect ourselves from the law.” Gave us the right to kill anyone who attacks us.”
