Before Holi, Holika Dahan will take place in the shadow of Bhadra, know what is the auspicious time and method of worship here.

This year, Holi will be under the influence of Bhadra during the lunar eclipse and before that Holika Dahan. After about a hundred years, such a coincidence has happened that on the same day, on the occasion of Holi, there will be a lunar eclipse (Chandra Grahan) and also Holi.

It is told in the Vedic calendar that this year the full moon of the month of Phalgun will start from 09:55 am on March 24 and will last till 12:30 pm on March 25, 2024. It is mentioned in the scriptures that it is auspicious to perform Holika Dahan on the full moon day and during the Bhadra-free period. Therefore, Holika Dahan will be played on 24th March and Holi with colors and roses will be played on 25th March.

Positive energy from celebrating Holika Dahan

There is a religious belief that celebrating Holika Dahan destroys all the negative forces around. After this, positive energy spreads all around. It is better to know in advance about the auspicious time of Holika Dahan and the shadow of Bhadra falling on it. Vedic calendar and learned astrologers are of the opinion that the best auspicious time for Holika Dahan will be from 11:14 pm to 12:20 pm on 24th March. Burning Holika during this period will be auspicious and beneficial.

 

 Celebrate Holika Dahan after Bhadrakal

According to the Panchang, Holika Dahan will be under the shadow of Bhadra on March 24 (Monday). There is a religious belief that Bhadra period is not auspicious. Therefore, worship or doing any auspicious work is prohibited during Bhadra period. According to the Panchang, Bhadra Kaal will start from the morning of 24th March. On the day of Holika Dahan, Bhadra will start at 09:54 am and will continue till 11:13 pm. Therefore, it would be appropriate to perform Holika Dahan only after Bhadra period is over.

 

 What is the timing of Bhadra and lunar eclipse?

On the day of Holika Dahan, Bhadra Poonch will start at 06:33 pm and end at 07:53 pm. After this, Bhadra Mukha will remain from 07:53 pm to 10:06 pm.

On the other hand, Holi will be under the shadow of lunar eclipse. Astrologers say that the lunar eclipse will start at 10.23 am on March 25 and will end at 3.02 pm. However, this lunar eclipse will not be visible in India and its Sutak will also not be visible.

According to the Hindu calendar, Holika Dahan is celebrated every year on the full moon day of Phalgun month. The next day, Holi is played with colors and gulal on Chaitra Krishna Pratipada. In many states of the country, Holi is also called Dhulandi. Know how Holika Dahan will be done under the shadow of Bhadra on the day of Holi.
