Beirut: The Israeli army has launched a massive air attack on several targets in Syria late Saturday night. Many terrorist hideouts in Syria have been destroyed in this airstrike by the Israeli Army. The Israeli army carried out this attack simultaneously at several places in southern Syria. One soldier was injured in this air attack. Syria’s state news agency SANA, quoting an unnamed military official, said the air defense system shot down some missiles that came from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights at 12:42 a.m. local time.
A statement said that these attacks have caused considerable damage to Syria and one soldier has been injured. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based war monitoring organization, said Israeli airstrikes targeted two military bases located in the Kalmoun Mountains northeast of Damascus. Lebanese extremist group Hezbollah has a presence in this area. There is also a possibility of many extremists being killed in this.
24th Israeli attack in Syria in 2024
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the attacks targeted a weapons shipment. The British organization said that this is Israel’s 24th attack in Syria in 2024. They have killed 43 fighters from various groups, including Hezbollah and Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, and nine civilians have also died. Israeli officials have not yet given any statement on these attacks.
