In Islam, the festival of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Prophet Mohammad. According to the beliefs of Islam, Prophet Mohammad was born in Mecca. It is said that Allah had sent Hazrat Mohammad as an incarnation, whose purpose was to eliminate the darkness and evils spread in the society.
In such a situation, Allah had sent Mohammad Saheb to earth to end the evil. Prophet Mohammad’s father was Abdullah bin Abdul Mutlib and mother was Amena. He was born on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal month on the day of Miladunnabi. In such a situation, this year according to the Islamic calendar, Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated on Monday, 16 September.
Bengaluru Police issued guidelines
Bengaluru Police has issued some guidelines regarding Eid-e-Milad. Muslims will take out processions across the city on Eid Milad. Y.M.C.A. Maidan, Millers Road, Khuddusab Idgah Maidan, Shivajinagar Chota Maidan, Sultanji Gunta Maidan in Bharatinagar and other places are where processions will be taken out by Muslims. In this regard, Bengaluru Police has also issued an order to follow some guidelines.
- People participating in the procession should not bring any sharp weapons.
- DJ will not be used for any reason during the procession.
- Slogans should not be raised in front of any place of worship (temple/church).
- During the procession, the organizers will have to keep personnel from the electricity department with them, so that it can be ensured that the power supply is not disrupted anywhere.
- The organizers will not have to carry inflammatory material during the procession.
- After the night procession, no more than two persons should be carried on a two-wheeler.
- Loudspeakers will also be used only from 06:00 am to 10:00 pm.
- Permission/license of the local police will have to be taken to use loudspeakers.
A senior officer of Bengaluru police said that legal action will be taken against those who do not strictly follow these rules. The volume of sound coming from loudspeakers should be kept to a minimum. The DG said that permission to install sound systems will not be given for any reason.
