Rajasthan Protest: Women staged a unique protest on Tuesday regarding the problem of waterlogging in the Water Box Colony of Uchhain police station area of Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. Despite repeated complaints by the people living in the colony, the administration did not do anything about the problem of waterlogging, so the women started Bhajan Kirtan by playing Dholak and Manjira outside the SDM office. So that the administration could wake up.
What do the colony residents have to say
Subhash Chand, a resident of Water Box Colony, said that there is a Water Box Colony in Uchhain town. Where the roads are filled with dirty water due to overflowing of the drain. Due to which two-wheelers slip and fall and they get injured. Apart from this, there is a school nearby. When children go to school, they have to go through dirty water. Due to which their dress gets spoiled. Due to dirty water, there is a terror of mosquitoes in the colony. Dirty water is entering the houses. People are troubled due to the stench.
Many times complaints were made to the Nagar Palika but the problem could not be solved. During the public hearing, SDM Bharti Gupta was also made aware of the problem but she too did not pay any attention. Troubled by the problem of waterlogging, the local people reached the SDM office today. Women sang bhajans to the tune of dholak and manjira outside the SDM office. After that a memorandum was given to the SDM.
