A 30-year-old woman and her three children were burnt to death on Wednesday morning while two others were injured in a fire that broke out after a LPG cylinder suddenly exploded in a house in Paukakhali area of Bihar’s Kishanganj district. The injured also include a brother and sister of the deceased. Everyone was brought to Purnia Medical College for treatment, where the mother and three children died during treatment, while two people have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment. The family was completely destroyed in this accident.
Know the whole matter
The woman had gone to make tea around 7 am on Wednesday morning. As soon as he lit the gas stove the cylinder exploded. The deceased have been identified as Sahiba, wife of Mohammed Ansar, resident of Poakhali village of Kishanganj, and children include 8-year-old Anisha, 4-year-old Aarushi and 5-year-old Aneesh. There has been hue and cry among the family members since the incident. There is mournful silence in the entire village. The deceased’s husband works in Meerut. Police are busy investigating whether the fire broke out due to cylinder blast or there is some other reason. The entire matter is likely to be revealed only after police investigation.
CM Nitish expressed grief
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed condolences on the loss of lives of four people due to the sudden explosion of a LPG cylinder while cooking in a house in Nankar village of Pauakhali area of Kishanganj district. According to a release issued from the Chief Minister’s Office, Nitish described the accident as extremely tragic and directed for proper treatment of those injured in the incident and wished for their speedy recovery. The Chief Minister has prayed to God to give strength to the family of the deceased to remain patient in this hour of grief.
District administration will write a letter to LPG cylinder company
Kishanganj District Magistrate Tushar Singla said, “I have ordered an investigation into the matter. Senior officials have reached the spot to find out the cause of the explosion. The district administration will also write a letter to the LPG cylinder company, so that from the safety point of view The matter can also be investigated.” Singla said that incidents of LPG cylinder explosions have increased in the district in recent times. He said that the district administration will provide all possible assistance to the victim’s family as per the law.
