A new feather is going to be added to the development of Bihar. The Airports Authority of India has approved the construction of a new airport in Bihta. This airport will be constructed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) at a cost of Rs 459 crore. A Russian company has been awarded the contract for this project and the aim of this project is to improve air transport facilities in Bihar.
The Bihar government has allotted 108 acres of land for this, on which the airport will be constructed. This airport will not only be connected to Patna city, but will also become a new air traffic hub for the entire Bihar and surrounding areas. Bihta airport will boost air connectivity of various major cities, which will accelerate the development of the state.
Construction of Danapur–Bihta Elevated Corridor
Along with this, the state government has announced an ambitious plan to make access from Patna to Bihta airport even more convenient. The longest elevated road will be ready by 2026, which is under construction from Danapur to Bihta at a cost of Rs 2000 crore. With the completion of this road, travel between Patna and Bihta will become very easy and fast. This will not only facilitate passenger traffic, but will also accelerate the economic development of both the regions.

This project is considered very important for the development of the state, as it will improve the field of air traffic in Bihar, as well as improve connectivity between different parts of the state.
