Angry villagers attacked the police who had come to remove encroachment in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Within no time the crowd became violent. The villagers pelted stones at the police. The police resorted to lathicharge and fired tear gas shells to control the villagers. After the police action the angry crowd dispersed. Many policemen and villagers have been injured in the violent clash. Everyone is being treated in the nearest hospital.

Police have detained two people. Senior police officers and forces reached the spot. With difficulty the situation was brought under control. The police has removed the encroachment. The situation remains tense at present. The villagers have accused the road of being cut into two. Videography of the incident site has been done. Police are searching for the accused who incited violence.

The matter is of Murarpur village of Baruraj police station area. The police had arrived to remove encroachment from the NRC road passing through Murarpur industrial area. During this the villagers protested against the action. The police tried to convince the villagers. SDO Western, DSP Western, SDPO Saraiya, Baruraj reached the spot along with the police. They also explained a lot to the villagers but things did not work out. Meanwhile the villagers started creating ruckus.
