As the Bihar assembly elections approach, the election preparations of political parties have gained momentum. Congress is also carrying out its preparations for this election with full vigor. In this episode, the meetings of the Screening Committee of Bihar Pradesh Congress will be held on 13th and 14th August at Sadakat Ashram. 1- Congress Screening Committee meeting on 13th and 14th August
Under the aegis of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee, the meetings of the Screening Committee for the upcoming Assembly Elections 2025 will be held on 13th and 14th August 2025 at Sadakat Ashram. In these meetings, political situations will be discussed with potential candidates from various districts. State Congress Media Department Chairman Rajesh Rathore said that the three in-charge secretaries will take detailed information from the candidates from the districts under their charge and then place it before the screening committee. All three in-charges will meet the candidates of their districts.
On August 13, Secretary in-charge Sushil Pasi and Devendra Yadav will discuss with the potential candidates from West Champaran, East Champaran, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Nalanda, Patna Nagar, Patna Rural 1 and 2, Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, Kaimur, Gaya. On August 14, 2025, Secretary in-charge Devendra Yadav and Shahnawaz Alam will meet the potential candidates from Jehanabad, Arwal, Aurangabad, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Jamui, Saharsa, Supaul, Madhepura, Araria, Purnia, Kishanganj, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Khagaria districts.
2- Congress took out Tiranga Yatra on August Revolution Day
On the 83rd anniversary of the ‘Quit India Movement’, the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee on Saturday garlanded the statue of the immortal martyr at the Shaheed Smarak and pledged to maintain the unity and integrity of the nation. Along with this, a Tiranga March was taken out from Sadakat Ashram to Shaheed Smarak by the Congress Seva Dal. The Tiranga Yatra passed through Sadakat Ashram, LCT Ghat, Rajapur, Boring Road Square, High Court Mor, Veerchand Patel Path and reached the Shaheed Smarak in front of the Vidhan Sabha Gate and turned into a tribute meeting cum pledge program.
After garlanding the Shaheed Smarak, Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram administered the pledge to all the Congressmen. He said that this country has been a country of sacrifice, dedication and martyrs. Many sacrifices have been made to make this country united and over time we have elevated it further with Gandhian policies. We Congressmen take a pledge that till our last breath, we will continue to fight to keep the unity and integrity of this country intact. Our history has been of sacrifice and we have nurtured this country.
3- Blind girls tied Rakhi to LJP Ram Vilas’ spokesperson
On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Dr. Shashi Bhushan Prasad, state spokesperson of Lok Janshakti Party, Ram Vilas, celebrated Raksha Bandhan among blind girls at Antar Jyoti Balika Vidyalaya located in Kumhrar of the capital. On this occasion, a large number of girls studying in the school tied Rakhi on his wrists. Dr. Shashi Bhushan Prasad also distributed sweets among these girls and also provided them clothes. He said that he would always be ready to help these sisters. He also provided financial assistance to the school management on behalf of his organization. On this occasion, many other people were also present along with the staff of the school management.
4- BJP MLA provided food to orphan children
On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA of Digha assembly constituency of the capital, Dr. Sanjeev Chaurasia provided food to orphan children located in Rajvanshi Nagar of the capital and also got Rakhi tied by the orphan girls. JDU leader Kamal Nopani along with many other social workers were also present on this occasion.
5- CM Nitish Kumar tied Raksha Sutra to the tree
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tied Raksha Sutra to the tree at Rajdhani Vatika in Patna on Saturday on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan and ‘Bihar Vriksha Suraksha Diwas’. The Chief Minister also planted a sapling in Rajdhani Vatika on this occasion. Let us tell you that on 13 August 2012, on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the Chief Minister had launched “Bihar Vriksha Suraksha Diwas”. Its objective is that people should be aware of the environment, preserve plants and plant as many trees as possible.
