Bihar Assembly Election: Congress MLA Ajit Sharma said that the party which wins the most number of MLAs will have a chief minister. Did Congress throw the ‘dice’ for the tussle of seats? Read who has said what on this.

Bihar Politics: Before the Bihar assembly elections to be held in 2025, a tussle has started in the Mahagathbandhan over the face of the CM post. Congress has a different stand, while the Left parties are in support of RJD. Senior Congress leader and MLA Ajit Sharma has said that the Chief Minister will be from the party which wins more MLAs. After his statement, questions are being raised whether such a statement has been given to create pressure for seats?

Ajit Sharma has even said that the Congress high command will take a decision on the Chief Minister and seats. Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge will decide on these issues. Right now it is that the Mahagathbandhan will contest the assembly elections under collective leadership. Ajit Sharma has also said that there is no question of contesting elections on less than 70 seats. Although this statement has come from the Congress, the rest of the parties of the Mahagathbandhan do not agree.

The Left party described Ajit Sharma as a loudmouth MLA

The Left party is completely in support of RJD. Congress MLA Ajit Sharma described him as a talkative MLA. CPI (ML) MLA Satyadev Ram said that everyone has the freedom to speak. Anyone can say anything. All parties understand who has how much public support and who will become the Chief Minister. Last time also we were contesting the elections on the face of Tejashwi Yadav. This time also the face of the Chief Minister will be Tejashwi Yadav. He said that definitely RJD has a greater public support base and if it contests elections on more seats then it is not possible that the Chief Minister will be from some other party.

RJD said- ‘It is his wish… he says anything’

On Ajit Sharma’s statement, RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari said, “Ajit Sharma ji is not the authorized speaker of the party. Now it is his wish, he says anything, but there is no dispute in the Mahagathbandhan on seat sharing or the face of the Chief Minister. In 2020 also, the election was fought on the face of Tejashwi Yadav as the Chief Minister with the consent of the Congress. In 2025 also, the election will be fought on the face of Tejashwi Yadav. As far as the seats are concerned, there is no problem in that. When the time comes, all the party leaders will sit together and decide.”

On the other hand, BJP has got an issue without doing anything. BJP spokesperson Prabhakar Mishra said, “Eight months before the elections, the Mahagathbandhan has started opposing each other. Congress has no option. Congress has been RJD’s stooge for the last 30 years. Congress leaders will listen to whatever Laluji says. Ajit Sharma has no existence.”
