Pappu Yadav On Bihar Assembly Election 2025: Independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav has made a big statement regarding the Bihar assembly elections. He has advised the Congress to contest the assembly elections alone in Bihar. According to him, Bihar is looking at Congress as an option, which is his own personal opinion.
He said, “Whatever decision the Congress takes, I will stand with it. If 13 crore people of Bihar have to be saved, then Congress will have to move forward alone. Rahul Gandhi is talking about EBC, OBC, SC, ST, Constitution and the poor. People are looking towards him with hope.”
Attacked Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar without naming them
Pappu Yadav attacked Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar without naming them. He said that for 40 years these people have been doing only politics. Now a new path should be adopted and Congress should do politics alone in Bihar.
Before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he merged his party with the Congress
Let us tell you that Pappu Yadav had merged his Jan Adhikar Party with the Congress during the Lok Sabha elections, but technically he could not join the Congress. However, he has given his support to the Congress. The way he is saying about the Congress that the party should contest the Bihar elections alone, it can lead to a dispute in the Grand Alliance.
Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar in October-November. The Grand Alliance includes RJD, Congress, Vikasheel Insan Party, CPI, CPM and CPI (ML). It has been clarified by the Congress that it will contest the elections only by staying in the Grand Alliance. But, the Congress is still not ready to accept Tejashwi Yadav as the Chief Ministerial candidate of the Grand Alliance, while it has been announced several times by the RJD that Tejashwi will be the Chief Ministerial face.
Tejashwi has been made the chairman of the Coordination Committee of the Grand Alliance
However, the Congress is not saying anything openly on this. Tejashwi has been made the chairman of the coordination committee of the Mahagathbandhan, but he has not been formally declared as the chief ministerial candidate, although so far three meetings of the Mahagathbandhan have been held on this issue.
In the 2020 assembly elections, Congress contested 70 seats in the Mahagathbandhan and won 19 seats. Now Congress is continuously pressurizing RJD to demand more seats.
