Bihar: Before the assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced and promised to provide employment to one crore youth in the next five years

There are still a few months left for the assembly elections in Bihar. Even before this, all the political parties have started their efforts. Be it the ruling party or the opposition, everyone is trying to woo the public. At the same time, the current government is counting its works. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has told about the jobs given in the state. Along with this, he has talked about giving jobs and employment to 1 crore people in the next 5 years.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wrote on the social media platform X that it has been our thinking from the beginning that more and more youth in the state should get government jobs and employment. Between the years 2005 and 2020, more than 8 lakh youth were given government jobs in the state.

He further wrote that to further increase the pace of giving government jobs and employment to the youth of the state, in the year 2020, we had pledged to give government jobs to 10 lakh youth and employment to 10 lakh people in the program of good governance, Saat Nischay-2. Later, it was increased to a target of providing government jobs to 12 lakh youth and employment to 38 lakh people by August 2025, setting a target of providing a total of 50 lakh jobs/employment.

It has been our thinking from the beginning that maximum number of youth in the state should get government jobs and employment. Between the years 2005 and 2020, more than 8 lakh youth were given government jobs in the state. 10 lakh youth got jobs in Bihar – Nitish
CM Nitish Kumar said that I am happy to inform that so far 10 lakh youth have been given government jobs and about 39 lakh people have been given employment in the state. The target of providing government jobs/employment to more than 50 lakh youth will definitely be achieved.

He said that in this sequence, in the next five years (2025 to 2030), a target is being set to provide government jobs and employment to one crore youth by doubling the target of 2020-25. For this, new job and employment opportunities will also be created in private, especially industrial sectors. A high-level committee is being formed regarding this.

Big announcement of CM Nitish before the election

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that at present, under the Seven Nischay, the youth of the state are also being given skill development training to connect them with self-employment. In the next five years, the program running under Seven Nischay for skill development of youth will be expanded. In the coming time, a skill university will be established for skill development, which will be named Jananayak Karpuri Thakur Skill University after Bihar’s pride Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpuri Thakur ji, so that the youth of the state can get a new direction of skill development.
