What is the whole matter?

The Congress has once again made a big claim regarding the irregularities in the voter list of Bihar. The Congress has alleged that 947 voters are listed under the same house number in Nidani village of Bodh Gaya. An explanation was given by the local authorities and the Chief Electoral Office of the state. Officials said that the house number is “imaginary” because the houses there do not have any numbers.

Congress on Election Commission Targeted
In a post on social media platform X, Congress has targeted the “Election Commission”. While posting, he wrote that see the miracle of Election Commission in Bihar. In the official voter list, 947 voters live in the same house (House No. 6). Whereas the reality is that there are hundreds of houses and families in Nidani, but in the list the whole village is contained in an imaginary house.

Congress BLO He has also raised questions on the functioning of the BLO, he wrote that how did the door-to-door verification happen? Why were the real house numbers removed from the voter list? Who is being benefited by this? This is not a simple mistake, but a joke in the name of transparency.

He further wrote that when house numbers are erased, it becomes easy to hide fake voters, duplicate names and ghost identities. If 947 voters can be dumped at the same address in a small village, then imagine how big the scale of the fraud will be in Bihar and all over India. Congress has also sought an answer from Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Gaya administration responded

In response to Gandhi’s post, the Gaya district administration shared four video clips of villagers on Twitter. The post read, “House numbers are not allotted in many villages, due to which symbolic house numbers are given in the voter list. All the voters mentioned are present in the village and are real voters. Voters of booth number 161 of Nidani village are clarifying the situation themselves. ”

In a video, a resident is saying, “Village Nidani, booth number 161, it is being maligned that there are 900 votes in a single house, this is completely wrong. We are satisfied with the survey done by the Election Commission. As far as house numbers are concerned, there is no house number in 161, we live in a village, there are no house numbers in the village.”

The Chief Electoral Officer’s office of Bihar said, “Imaginary house number is an imaginary (symbolic) house number, which is given when the actual house number is not available at the residence of a voter.
