1.87 crore cash, gold-silver and property papers have been recovered from the house of District Education Superintendent (DEO) Rajnikant Praveen, a resident of West Champaran (Bettiah), who has come under the radar of Vigilance in Bihar. It is being told that as the pace of investigation increases, the list of seizures can also increase. Here, after the Vigilance raid, the Education Department has suspended DEO Rajnikant Praveen.
DEO Rajnikant Praveen is originally a resident of Nalanda district. His ancestral home is in Pokharpur village located in Giriak block of Nalanda district. His father Radhika Raman retired from the post of teacher, while his younger brother Kundan Kumar is on the post of BDO in Bihar. After the raid, the villagers told that Rajnikant Praveen’s ancestral house has been locked for the last 15 years.
Lock has been hanging on ancestral house for 15 years
DEO Rajnikant Praveen has hardly come to his ancestral house in the last 15 years. His family also does not come here. Sometimes he has come to his ancestral house for worship and rituals, but he has stayed there for only one or two days and then left. Rajnikant Praveen’s wife also has a school franchise in her name. However, investigation is still going on in this regard. This franchise has been found in Darbhanga district.
The school is in the name of his wife
The vigilance team has also raided the school of Sushma Kumari, wife of DEO Rajnikant Praveen. In the investigation so far, information about Rajnikant Praveen’s many accounts in many banks, 10 bank accounts in his wife’s name, lockers and FDs has come to light. Apart from this, many FDs have also come to light in the name of his son and daughter. The large amount of jewelry found in the raid is being investigated at the departmental level.
Where was the posting of the rich DEO?
Rajinikant Praveen is an officer of the 45th batch of Bihar State Education Department. He joined service in the year 2005 and held the post of Education Officer in Darbhanga, Samastipur and other districts of Bihar. His total service period is about 19-20 years. His wife Dr. Sushma Kumari is running a franchise of private school Birla Open Mind in Darbhanga. It is said that Rajnikant Praveen’s wife Sushma Kumari was a contract teacher, who left her job and is currently the director of Birla Open Mind School Darbhanga.

It is worth noting that on Thursday morning, on the complaint of acquiring property disproportionate to income, the Special Vigilance team raided several places of Rajnikant Praveen, District Education Officer (DEO) of West Champaran (Bettiah). It has been learned that Rajnikant Praveen has earned crores of rupees by misusing his position. This raid operation is going on at 7 places including Bettiah, Samastipur, Madhubani, Darbhanga. During the vigilance raid, 1.87 crore cash was found under the bed, gold ornaments stuffed in a sack and property papers were recovered. The vigilance team’s raid is not over yet. After the raid is over, the entire black money of Rajnikanth Praveen will be revealed.
