In Kaimur, Bihar, school children ate the seeds of the plant, mistaking it for Chironji. 23 school children fell ill after eating the seeds. He started vomiting and feeling dizzy. All the children were immediately admitted to the hospital. On receiving information about the incident, district officials including DM and SP reached the hospital to inquire about the condition of the children. The children are undergoing treatment. Doctors have declared him out of danger.

The matter pertains to the school located in Kosdihara village of Bhagwanpur police station area of the district. There was a stir in the school due to the sudden ill health of the children. When the family members of the children got this information, they got scared. The family took him to Sadar Hospital in Bhabua for treatment. A team of doctors was called when 23 children fell ill simultaneously.

Poisonous seeds looked like chironji
On Wednesday, children had come to Kosdihara village school to study. After school holidays, all the children started going home. On the way, the children saw some plants with seeds on them. The seeds looked exactly like Chironji. The children ate the seeds thinking they were chironji. Some of these children ate these seeds in lunch and some after school. Suddenly the children started vomiting. Family members told that after eating the seeds, after about 1 to 2 hours the children started vomiting and feeling dizzy.

DM, SP reached hospital
The family got scared after seeing this. He took him to Sadar Hospital in Bhabua. There was panic in the health department due to the large number of children coming to the hospital. On receiving the information, Kaimur DM Sawan Kumar, SP Lalit Mohan Sharma, SDM Vijay Kumar, SDPO Shiv Shankar Kumar and Bhabua police station incharge Mukesh Kumar reached the hospital for investigation. On the spot, the treatment of children was immediately started by the civil surgeon and many doctors of Sadar Hospital along with health workers. All the children are said to be out of danger.
