The election atmosphere in Bihar is heating up day by day, with candidates across all 243 seats in the state busy wooing the public. The contest in the Sheohar Assembly constituency has become even more interesting. Here, an independent candidate has given both the NDA and the Grand Alliance sleepless nights.
Independent candidate Sanjay Sangharsh Singh from Sheohar Assembly constituency has a unique and surprising campaigning approach. While candidates in every constituency are campaigning diligently, independent candidate Sanjay Sangharsh Singh has shackled himself and set out to campaign. He is seen going door to door seeking votes.
Fighting for Bridge Construction
This shackled candidate says he is contesting the elections solely for the construction of the Aaduri Khori Pakad Bridge over the Bagmati River. He has been given the election symbol of chains. Sanjay Sangharsh Singh is going among the people to promote his election symbol, the chain. He says that if he wins, the bridge will be built. He was a candidate in the last election and received the “chain” election symbol. He has also grown a beard for the past several years to build the bridge. He will not give up his beard and contest elections until the bridge is built.
The second phase of elections in the Shivhar Assembly constituency is scheduled for 11 candidates. All of them have been allotted election symbols. While campaigning is currently in full swing and everyone is claiming victory, Sanjay Sangharsh Singh’s style remains unique.
