These people secretly got the bridge constructed at a cost of 30 lakhs illegally in connivance with local leaders and some employees of the corporation. Whereas most of the bridge is still incomplete.
On the other hand, the local residents say that the construction of this bridge is not going to benefit them. With the airport being built nearby, some land brokers want to sell the land by building a substandard bridge, whereas this bridge is in the middle of the river. Attempts are also being made to divert the flow of the river by dumping municipal waste in the river with the connivance of the corporation employees.
The bridge was built with the connivance of the Municipal Corporation
After the matter came to the notice of the Municipal Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, he ordered the demolition of the bridge. But due to the connivance from before, the officials of the corporation came with a JCB just to fulfill the formality and then returned. It is said that a white collar of the corporation is also included among the land brokers. Who has a lot of influence in the Municipal Corporation. At the same time, the return of dozens of police force and corporation officials due to the protest of only 3-4 families is raising a question in itself.
Investigation of the case started
Purnia District Magistrate Kundan Kumar has taken a tough stand on the whole matter. He has instructed the Municipal Commissioner to take strict action. Regarding the whole matter, Municipal Commissioner Kumar Mangalam of Purnia Municipal Corporation said that no NOC has been taken from the Municipal Corporation and Water Resources Department for the construction of the bridge. He has asked to measure the land as per the map and give a detailed report. The Municipal Commissioner said that after the investigation report comes, an FIR will be filed against all.
