In Bihar’s Muzaffarpur, a pickup hit three bikes on the day of Holi. The collision was so strong that the bike riders were thrown in the air. Three people including father-in-law and son-in-law died a painful death in this accident. The victims were returning after marketing Holi. The entire incident was captured in CCTV. This accident happened near Mohammadpur Chowk in Ahiyarpur police station area. Here a speeding pickup hit three bikes.
The collision was so strong that the bikes were shattered. The people riding the bikes fell far away. Father-in-law and son-in-law were sitting on the same bike, who were returning to the village after marketing Holi. A young man was riding on the second bike, he was also returning to his home. The young man sitting on the third bike narrowly escaped. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV installed in a nearby house.
How did the accident happen?
Local people say that the driver of the pickup was drunk, due to which the accident happened. The pickup was moving at a very high speed and it hit two bikes from behind. Father-in-law and son-in-law were on one bike and a young man was on the other bike. All three were crushed by the pickup and died on the spot. The third bike collided with the pickup from the front. The young man riding it fell on the roadside and his life was saved.
Accused driver absconded
After the accident, the pickup driver fled from the spot along with the vehicle. Local people informed the police. The police reached the spot and took all three bodies in their custody and sent them for post-mortem. It is being told that Sudhakar Sahni, a resident of Dharmapur village of Rampur Hari police station area, was returning to the village from the city with his son-in-law. Subodh Kumar, a resident of Mohanpur, was coming on another bike behind his bike, the pickup which caused the accident was coming from Sitamarhi. According to the people, the speed of the pickup was very high, which crushed both the bikes from behind. Due to this, all three died on the spot, while the third bike was coming from the front, after touching the pickup, it went out of control and fell into the pit, due to which the life of the young man was saved.
