Bihar Cabinet Expansion: Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar this year and the Nitish Government has started preparing for the expansion of the cabinet. If sources are to be believed, the cabinet may be expanded in Bihar before the budget session. 6 to 7 new faces may get a place in the cabinet.

It is believed that the departments of the ministers who have more than one department will be reduced. The departments will be taken from them and given to the new ministers. There are many ministers who have the responsibility of more than one department. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has three departments each. Mangal Pandey, Nitish Mishra and Prem Kumar have 2 departments each.

Dilip Jaiswal may have to leave the ministerial post

On the other hand, BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal may have to leave the ministerial post. BJP has the principle of ‘one leader one post’ under the party constitution. That is, a person cannot hold more than one post. Just like when Samrat Chaudhary became the Deputy Chief Minister, he had to leave the post of state president. Similarly, a department can be taken from Dilip Jaiswal as well.

Preparations to maintain caste equations in cabinet expansion

If sources are to be believed, two ministers can be made from the upper castes if the cabinet is expanded. There is a possibility of one minister each from Rajput and Bhumihar castes. At the same time, two people can be made ministers from the extremely backward castes. One minister from the Teli caste is almost certain. One minister can also be made from the backward society.

Let us tell you that there are currently 31 ministers in the cabinet in Bihar. A total of 36 ministers can be made. There is news that 3-4 new ministers from the BJP quota and 2-3 new ministers from the JDU quota can join the cabinet. There are elections, so caste equations will be taken care of in the cabinet expansion.
