Bihar Politics: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has been accused of insulting Ambedkar. Now this matter has reached Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, a delegation of BJP met the Governor. While submitting the memorandum, it was said that clarification and public apology should be sought from Lalu Yadav on this subject.

Through the memorandum, the Governor was asked to give strict instructions to political parties to prevent recurrence of insult to any constitutional symbol and great men in future. The Governor was requested to intervene on this sensitive issue and ensure justice. Protect the self-respect of Dalit, backward, extremely backward society.

The delegation included Bihar government minister Janak Ram, Krishna Nandan Paswan, Scheduled Caste Commission member Ajit Kumar Chaudhary, National Spokesperson Dr. Guru Prakash Paswan, Bihar BJP Media Cell chief Danish Iqbal, Subodh Paswan, Bharti Suman Paswan etc.

What is the whole matter?

Actually, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav celebrated his 78th birthday on June 11 (2025). On this occasion, a video started going viral on social media in which it was seen that Lalu Yadav is sitting on a chair and there is another chair in front of him on which he is keeping his feet. At the same time, a supporter brings a picture of Ambedkar and stands nearby and starts taking photos. There is a demand for an apology from Lalu Yadav on this issue.

The BJP delegation has clearly stated in its memorandum that there is anger across the state due to this act (insult of Ambedkar) done by Lalu Yadav. Till now, no formal apology has been made by Lalu Yadav and RJD, which further clarifies their insensitive and arrogant behavior.
