Reading this message, there was a stir in the family and acquaintances. The deceased’s father Devi Singh registered a case of dowry harassment at Hadan police station. According to the report, Durga was married to Dilip Singh in 2021. Since the marriage, the in-laws – father-in-law Chhailu Singh, mother-in-law Kama Kanwar and sister-in-law Sonu Kanwar – have been accused of demanding dowry and harassing Durga.

Durga’s brother Sangu Singh said that his sister was facing constant mental and physical harassment. On the day of the incident, Durga put a status and after that jumped into the pond and gave up her life. On the other hand, giving information, Thanadhikari Hadan Omprakash Suthar said that we have registered a case on the complaint of the deceased’s father. At present, the case of the report of the deceased’s family has been registered and investigation has been started. The deceased’s brother Sangu Singh said that my sister Durga was harassed by her in-laws to such an extent that she took the step of committing suicide.

After seeing the status, when we inquired from the in-laws, we came to know that Durga died due to drowning in a water tank. We demand that strict action be taken against the culprits. The police have sent the body for post-mortem and the investigation of the case is going on.
