Bilateral talks were held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Albanese during the G20 summit held in Brazil

Rio de Janeiro: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with Australian Prime Minister Albanese on Tuesday during the G20 summit organized in Brazil and discussed overall bilateral relations. On bilateral talks between India and Australia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Today was a very fruitful meeting of the second annual India-Australia summit. This was my 11th meeting with my friend Albanese in the last two years. This is a symbol of new energy in our bilateral relations. After the implementation of ECTA (Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement), our mutual trade increased by 40 percent in the last two years, today all aspects of our relations were discussed in detail.”

What did PM Modi say?

Meeting of Chilean President and PM Modi Earlier, PM Modi held bilateral talks with Chilean President Gabriel Boric on the occasion of the G20 summit. PM Modi tweeted, “Met Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font in Rio de Janeiro. India’s relations with Chile are getting stronger in various fields. Our talks focused on how to deepen ties in pharmaceuticals, technology, space and other areas. It is heartening to see that Ayurveda is gaining popularity in Chile. This is also an area where relations can gain momentum.”

Meeting of Argentine President and PM Modi

After talks with Chilean President Gabriel Boric, bilateral talks were held between PM Modi and Argentine President Javier Miley. Regarding the meeting, PM Modi said, “Had a wonderful meeting with Argentine President Javier Miley. India cherishes close friendship with Argentina. We have completed 5 years of our strategic partnership, which has brought a lot of vibrancy to bilateral relations. We talked about enhancing relations in energy, defense production, trade and culture.”
