Recently, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa has accused Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi’s wife of being an ISI agent. Regarding this, the Congress MP has now hit back at the BJP. He said, if my wife is an ISI agent, then I am an agent of RAW.
Gaurav Gogoi hit back at CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s statement and said, if my wife is an ISI agent of Pakistan, then I am an agent of India’s RAW. I am not affected by the allegations made by them, the family which has been accused of many things is also accusing me. He also said, the Chief Minister of Assam is making all these allegations so that everyone’s attention is diverted from all the allegations against him.
What allegations did CM Himanta make
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had said about Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi and his British wife Elizabeth Colburn that sooner or later, it will be known how foreign powers led by George Soros’ ecosystem influenced a major decision of the Assam Congress in 2014. The truth will come out in time. He also said that the couple should answer the serious questions raised regarding their close links with the ISI and taking young impressionable minds to the Pakistan High Commission for brainwashing and radicalization.
He also said that accountability is necessary on these things. The country deserves transparency and to know the truth. Earlier, the Chief Minister of Assam had posted on the social media handle X saying that many serious questions have arisen due to the connection with ISI, which need to be answered. Pointing to Gaurav Gogoi’s wife, he said, taking youth to the Pakistan Embassy for brainwashing and radicalism and refusing to take Indian citizenship for the last 12 years raises many questions.
Along with this, joining the conversion cartel and getting money from external sources including George Soros to destabilize national security are serious concerns that cannot be ignored.
BJP made allegations
Along with the Chief Minister of Assam, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia has also made allegations. He alleged on Wednesday that Gaurav Gogoi’s wife Elizabeth Colburn had links with the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) while she worked with the Climate and Knowledge Development Network (CDKN) in Islamabad under Ali Tauqeer Sheikh, a former advisor to Pakistan’s Planning Commission. Colburn reportedly remains a British citizen.
