The Ahilyanagar Bharatiya Janata Party will give Rs. 10 lakh to anyone who cuts off the tongue of this scoundrel.”

What did the Maharashtra Congress President say?
Maharashtra Congress State President Harshvardhan Sapkal compared Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to Tipu Sultan. Regarding the controversy surrounding the installation of Tipu Sultan’s portrait in the Malegaon Municipal Corporation, he said, “Just as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj instilled the spirit of bravery and freedom in the countrymen, Tipu Sultan also did the same by fighting against the British. Therefore, Tipu Sultan should be considered equal to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Tipu Sultan emerged as a warrior and a son of the soil of India. He never embraced toxic or extremist ideologies. We should see him as an icon of valor, on par with Shivaji Maharaj.” However, he later said that the bravery of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was incomparable, while Tipu Sultan was also brave and a lover of Swaraj.
