Bokaro: CISF lathicharged the displaced BSL workers protesting for their demands in Bokaro, Jharkhand, one youth died

Bokaro News: On April 3, CISF lathicharged BSL displaced people agitating for their demands in Bokaro, Jharkhand. A young man died in this incident. Since then, people’s discontent is at its peak. The agitators demanded compensation for the victim’s family and a high-level inquiry into the matter.

Prem Mahato, a displaced person, died in the lathicharge incident by CISF on BSL displaced people in Bokaro, Jharkhand. After the incident, Bermo MLA has demanded a high-level inquiry into the incident from the state government.

Demand for action against guilty officials

Former Jharkhand CM and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi said on a live post about this incident that the news of the death of a young man in the lathicharge on BSL displaced agitators in Bokaro is disturbing. The agitators wanted to hold talks with the administration yesterday, but it was not possible.

The district administration and SAIL management should have understood that no movement can be ended by repression. The state government should investigate this incident and take action against the Bokaro district administration and SAIL management. The SAIL management should provide proper compensation and employment to the victim’s family.

What is the whole matter?

The displaced protesters of BSL have accused the management of breaking promises. The displaced people claim that they had given their land to BSL, but till now they have not got employment. They were protesting near the ADM building regarding this.

During the protest, when the angry people tried to meet the BSL management near the ADM building, the security personnel stopped them. During this, the argument between the two sides increased and the situation became uncontrollable. In such a situation, to control the situation, CISF resorted to lathicharge, in which many people were injured. During this, 26-year-old Prem Mahato died on the spot.

There is tension in the area after the death of the youth in the lathicharge incident by CISF. The angry displaced people have demanded compensation for the family of the deceased and a job for one member of the family.
