He wrote in his notice, when someone takes the name of a national hero like Mahatma Gandhi, he should be careful in speaking for him and these things are not told, rather they are understood without saying. There has always been a group that may not agree with the decisions and policies of Mahatma Gandhi, but he is treated with love and respect in the nation. According to his legal notice, he said, ‘Accepting the partition, it will happen over my dead body. As long as I am alive, I will never agree to the partition of India.

Actually, this matter started when Abhijeet talked about musician RD Burman. According to Press Journal, he had said that RD Burman was even bigger than Mahatma Gandhi, because just as Mahatma Gandhi was the father of the nation, similarly RD Burman was the father of the nation in the world of music. The singer further said that Mahatma Gandhi was the father of the nation of Pakistan, not India. Mahatma Gandhi has been wrongly called the father of the nation of India, whereas he is responsible for the existence of Pakistan, because India already existed, Pakistan separated from India later.

Earlier, Abhijeet came into the limelight after making a statement about Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan.
