Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will be in Bihar today and will join the ‘Stop Migration, Give Jobs’ padyatra in Begusarai. It has been started by Congress youth leader and former JNU president Kanhaiya Kumar. Kanhaiya is a resident of Begusarai. Rahul has urged the padyatras to join it wearing white t-shirts. After Begusarai, Rahul will leave for Patna to participate in the ‘Samvidhan Suraksha Sammelan’.
Kerala: Wild elephant tramples 22-year-old youth to death in Palakkad
In a tragic incident in Mundur in Kerala’s Palakkad district, a 22-year-old youth was trampled to death by a wild elephant. Alan, a resident of Karamkode, was going on a bike with his mother when an elephant attacked him just 50 meters away from his house on Sunday night. The incident took place around 8 pm when they were returning from a relative’s house in Puthupariyaram. Allen died on the way to the hospital. His mother was injured in the attack and was first admitted to the district hospital. Later, she was sent to Thrissur Medical College Hospital.

IMD warns of heat wave in Delhi till April 9, yellow alert issued
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heat wave in Delhi till April 9. A yellow alert has been issued for heat wave. According to the department, the affected areas include southern Haryana, Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, Rajasthan and western Madhya Pradesh. The IMD said that during this period, the maximum temperature is expected to increase by two to four degrees Celsius in many parts of central and north-west India.
