BSP president Mayawati today expelled former MP Ashok Siddharth and central-state coordinator Nitin Singh from the party on charges of promoting factionalism and indulging in anti-party activities.

Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has expelled her nephew Akash Anand and father-in-law and her samdhi Dr. Ashok Siddharth from the party. Mayawati has taken this action by expelling them from BSP due to anti-party activities. Dr. Ashok Siddharth is Mayawati’s relative and is her samdhi in relation.

Mayawati expelled two leaders from the party

Mayawati told on her X handle that Dr. Ashok Siddharth has been expelled from BSP. She said that Dr. Ashok Siddharth, former MP and Nitin Singh, district Meerut, who was in charge of the BSP especially the southern states etc., are expelled from the party with immediate effect in the interest of the party for being involved in anti-party activities like factionalism etc. despite warnings.

Mayawati had warned both the leaders

Party insiders say that Mayawati had warned both the leaders before taking action on Wednesday. Ashok Siddharth is the father-in-law of Mayawati’s nephew and her political successor Akash Anand. Former Rajya Sabha MP Siddharth has been in charge of the party in many southern states. Nitin Singh, who hails from Meerut, was recently deployed with Akash in the Delhi Assembly elections.
