New Delhi: Mumbai terror attack accused Tahawwur Hussain Rana is being brought to India from the US. As soon as he reaches Delhi, the NIA will arrest him in the Mumbai attack case. Rana may be kept in the high-security ward of Tihar Jail after being brought to Delhi. Sources said that necessary preparations have been made to keep Rana (64) in jail and the jail authorities will wait for the court’s order. Rana is a Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin and is close to US citizen David Coleman Headley, one of the main conspirators of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
Rana may be kept in Tihar Jail

Security increased outside NIA headquarters
Security has been increased outside NIA headquarters. Delhi Police has closed the road for 2 km with its barricading. All the people coming and going are being checked.
Tahawwur Hussain Rana will have multiple layers of security
Tahawwur Hussain Rana can be arrested and kept in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. Rana will be taken under the security cover of SWAT commandos of Delhi Police’s Special Cell. There will be multiple layers of security. SWAT commando team has reached the airport. Several vehicles of Delhi Police will escort Rana’s convoy. Rana will go from the airport in a bulletproof car.
NIA will arrest Tahawwur Rana and seek remand from the court
After extraditing Tahawwur Rana to India, first of all NIA will arrest him in its case registered regarding Mumbai 26/11 attack. After that Tahawwur Rana will be taken to NIA headquarters where his medical test will be done. After this, Rana will be produced in the court and his remand will be sought. Tahawwur Rana will be taken to NIA HQ from the airport amid tight security.
