Calcutta High Court judge Chittaranjan Das retired on Monday, May 20. A farewell ceremony was also held for him in the presence of judges and bar members in the High Court. On this occasion, Chittaranjan Das told that he was a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He said that if the organization calls him for any help or any work in which he is capable, then he is ready to return to the organization. According to the PTI report, he further said that even if some people do not like it, I have to admit here that I was and still am a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Retired judge Chittaranjan Das said that he has learned to be courageous, honest and have a similar attitude towards others as well as the spirit of patriotism and commitment to work. Chittaranjan Das also told that due to his work, he kept a distance from the organization for about 37 years.
‘Did not use membership in my career’
Chittaranjan Das told in his address that he never used the membership of the organization for advancement in his career. He said that all this is against his principles. The retired judge said that he treated all people equally, whether they are rich, communist, or from BJP, Congress or Trinamool Congress.
‘Did nothing wrong in life’
The Justice said that since I have not done anything wrong in my life, I have the courage to say that I am associated with the organization because this is also not wrong. Justice Das said that all people are equal in front of him. He said that he does not have any prejudice for anyone or any political philosophy or system. Justice Das said that he has not done anything wrong in his life, so he has the courage to say that he is associated with the organization and this is not wrong.
