The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday arrested four people, including an assistant general manager of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) posted in Mumbai, in a Rs 20 lakh bribery case. Case was registered against 6 accused
CBI spokesperson said in a statement, “CBI had registered a case on May 9 against 6 accused, including two Assistant General Managers (AGMs) of FCI, Mumbai Regional Office, three private individuals, a private company based in Aurangabad and others.” It is alleged that Mylapalli had conspired with a businessman who was a partner in the Aurangabad based company and demanded bribe for providing undue advantage for awarding tender of FCI Mumbai office.
A trap was laid and Mylapalli was caught while accepting bribe. “CBI conducted searches at residential and official premises of the accused at various places in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Aurangabad, which led to recovery of several digital devices, cash and incriminating documents,” the spokesperson said.
