Central Board of Secondary Education: Class 10th exam will be conducted twice a year from the year 2026. Let’s know the details…

From the year 2026, a big change will be seen in the CBSE Board’s 10th class examination. The board has also taken a decision regarding the big change. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a big decision. Under which, from 2026, the class 10th board examination will be conducted twice a year. The main reason for this change is to give the students another chance to improve their preparation and perform well in the exam.

How is the exam currently being conducted?

At present, class 10th and 12th board examinations are conducted every year between February and March. Due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, CBSE had divided the examinations into two sessions as a one-time special measure. However, as soon as the situation became normal, the board had decided to return to the traditional annual examination system the very next year.

How will the new examination system be?

According to CBSE, the first phase of the 10th board examination will be held in February-March and the second phase will be held in May. Students will get the option to appear in both the examinations, but it will not be necessary. If a student is not satisfied with the first exam, he can appear in the second exam and improve his marks. According to reports, the first phase of the 10th class board exam will be held from February 17 to March 6, 2026, while the second phase will be held from May 5 to May 20, 2026.

How will students benefit?

Students will get a chance to appear for the exam twice a year. If there is no good performance in the first exam, then improvement can be made in the second exam. The pressure of the exam will be reduced, so that students will be able to study without tension.

A big change in the education system

This decision of CBSE has been taken under the New Education Policy (NEP). This process has been taken keeping in mind the mental health of the students and their learning process. This change will reduce the fear of exams and students will get more opportunities for their studies.
