Chandrababu Naidu on Muslim Quota Reservation: Amidst the Lok Sabha elections, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Chandrababu Naidu has given a statement regarding Muslim reservation quota. According to the report of news agency ANI, he said that reservation alone cannot empower people in all respects. The former CM said that people will have to be economically empowered, but it should not be based on religion.
Chandrababu Naidu told- why Muslim community is lagging behind
This time in Andhra Pradesh, TDP is contesting the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in collaboration with BJP. On the stand of its ally BJP on religion-based issue, the TDP chief said, “My aim is economic reform and economic empowerment, not religion-based reform. Historically, politically and culturally, some castes or religions are backward. Particular communities Why is it backward? The real reason for this is their thinking process, their meetings, the way all these things are happening, they are becoming like that.”
TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu said, “I always say why are the tribals so backward? 20 years ago I started Chaitanyam to create awareness among the tribals. These people have huge amount of resources available, but Due to lack of awareness, these people are backward. Even the Muslims have to adopt an effective approach rather than appeasement.
Reservation will not solve the problem
Former CM Chandrababu Naidu said, “Giving reservation cannot solve the problem, we have to think beyond that. We gave reservation for SC, ST and other classes for decades. Are they in a better position today? Today we need to think beyond that. We have to think, only then we will change things fundamentally.”
Addressing a rally in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu had said, we will maintain the provision of 4 percent reservation for Muslims and will provide financial assistance of Rs 5000 every month for the maintenance of mosques in the state.
