The video of the farmer being beaten up is going viral on social media. The name of the BJP leader is Jyoti Mahant. Local MLA Phool Singh Rathia expressed displeasure over the incident. The MLA has written a letter to the SP and demanded legal action against the BJP leader.

Giving information about the case, Rampur MLA Phool Singh Rathia wrote a complaint letter to the Superintendent of Police of Korba, demanding action against BJP woman leader Jyoti Mahant.

The MLA wrote everything in his letter and alleged that the woman leader has no fear of the government and administration.

He has written that tribal farmer Balwan Singh Kanwar was abused and beaten up by BJP leader Jyoti Mahant in the Banki Mogra police station premises. The letter read, Korba district is a tribal dominated area. In which BJP leader Jyoti Mahant along with her companions abused, beat up and threatened to kill the tribal farmer in the Banki Mongra Bana premises and brutalized him. Its video is going viral.

In the letter, he alleged that this incident happened in the police station premises. I am feeling hurt by such an incident with a tribal farmer in the presence of the police administration. I am also a tribal MLA. I am very hurt by this incident. Earlier also, leader Dr. Charandas Mahant had questioned the working style of Korba district police administration in the Vidhan Sabha, which proves today that BJP leaders have special rights from the Vishnu Dev Sai government and the district administration, which shows that BJP leader Jyoti Mahant is neither afraid of the government nor the administration.
