Chhattisgarh: Union Home Minister Amit Shah met the officers who played an important role in the recent operations against Naxalism in New Delhi and congratulated them on the historic success of these operations.

Chhattisgarh: Union Home Minister Amit Shah met the officers who played an important role in the recent operations against Naxalism in New Delhi on Saturday, June 7 and congratulated them on the historic success of these operations. He said that the Modi government is determined to free India from the scourge of Naxalism. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma were present on this occasion.

In a post on X, the Union Home Minister said, “Recently met the officers who played an important role in the operations against Naxalism and congratulated them on the historic success of these operations. I am also eager to meet the soldiers who made these operations successful with their bravery and will soon come to Chhattisgarh and meet them. The Modi government is determined to free India from the scourge of Naxalism.”

Anti-Naxal operation continues in Chhattisgarh

It is worth noting that anti-Maoist operations are being conducted by the security forces in Chhattisgarh under the direction of the Union Home and Cooperation Minister. Under this, anti-Maoist operations are being conducted in Abujhmad The operation was conducted by Chhattisgarh Police (which included DRG forces of Narayanpur, Dantewada, Kondagaon and Bijapur police districts) in the interior areas from 18 May 2025 to 21 May 2025. On 21 May, 27 Naxalites including CPI (Maoist) General Secretary and Politburo member Basavaraj alias Gaganna were killed in an encounter in the forests of village Boter. Along with this, a large quantity of weapons and ammunition were recovered.

Many police officers were honored

Chhattisgarh Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, Additional Director General of Police (Anti-Naxal Operations / SIB / STF) Vivekananda, Inspector General of Police of Bastar Range Sundarraj, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Narayanpur Prabhat Kumar, Superintendent of Police of Bijapur Jitendra Yadav and Superintendent of Police of Naxal-free district Bastar Shalabh Singh were honored by Home Minister Amit Shah. On this occasion, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Director of Intelligence Bureau Tapan Deka and many other senior officials were present.
