Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has described the budget of Gujarat for the year 2025-26 as the budget of Vision Developed Gujarat, Mission Jan Kalyan under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the budget presented by Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai in the Assembly on Thursday is a document to implement the Prime Minister’s vision of developed India. The Chief Minister has described the establishment of Developed Gujarat Fund with a provision of Rs 50 thousand crore for this as important.

He also said that in this budget of Rs 3.70 lakh crore, which is the largest ever in the history of the state, the increase of 21.8 percent in capital expenditure compared to last year shows commitment towards development. In this budget, there is a provision to create six growth hubs in Surat, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Saurashtra Coastal and Kutch.

Appeal to make the life of the people of Gujarat smooth and prosperous

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that in this budget, a successful effort has been made to make the life of all the citizens of Gujarat, who are crossing new dimensions of progress and development, smooth, prosperous and satisfactory. He also expressed confidence that the budget will give impetus to where Gujarat is on the path of development so far. Welcoming the provisions made in this budget for infrastructure and connectivity, he said that 6 regional economic plans will be prepared for developed Gujarat.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel gave the role of organizing the works done in this budget for the establishment of a comprehensive world class road network in the entire state. He said that new Greenfield Expressways and 12 new high-speed corridors will be developed to give new impetus to the direction of developed Gujarat. The construction of Namo Shakti Expressway will give impetus to the industrial, social and economic development of the coastal belt by connecting Deesa of North Gujarat with the coastal area Pipavav of Saurashtra.

Upgradation of airports and air connectivity
Regarding the provision of connecting Somnath-Dwarka Expressway with Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Dwarka, Somnath and Porbandar, the Chief Minister said that the development of these routes will provide easier connectivity to the pilgrims and tourists going to Dwarka and Somnath. Apart from this, the Chief Minister welcomed the announcement of construction of a new airport in Dahod to provide more facilities to the tourists in the state and the proposals to strengthen air connectivity by upgrading Vadodara, Surat, Bhavnagar and Porbandar airports.

He also said that to take forward the call made by the Prime Minister for water conservation, a campaign will be launched to raise the underground water level by starting the Catch the Rain campaign with public participation in the urban areas of Gujarat. The Prime Minister has cherished the dream of a concrete roof over every person’s head. The assistance given for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the state has been increased by Rs 50 thousand. Now it has been announced in the budget to provide assistance of Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand to each beneficiary.

Youth power can keep pace with the world

He said that youth power can keep pace with the world in this era of Artificial Intelligence (AI); for this, he welcomed the establishment of I-hub in four regions to give impetus to startups by setting up AI labs and a favorable ecosystem for startups in seven technical institutions.

Referring to the new important scheme Sakhi Sahas Yojana for empowerment and self-reliance of Nari Shakti, he said that the state government will help the sisters of self-help groups in this scheme in resource assistance and loan guarantee etc.
