Chief Minister Rekha Gupta government is going to organize a grand Teej Mela in the capital with the aim of promoting women empowerment, cultural prosperity and community harmony in Delhi. This event will be held from July 25 to July 27 at Delhi Haat, Pitampura. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta will inaugurate this event on the evening of July 25.
A grand celebrity night will also be organized on July 26 in the Teej fair, in which popular artists will give their performances. During this, folk dances, folk songs, magic shows etc. will grace the Teej fair throughout the day on all three days. On July 27, Women in Green special fashion walk will also be organized, in which Miss Teej 2025 will be selected.
Fair is our cultural heritage
CM Rekha Gupta said that this fair will be a celebration of our cultural heritage, women power and traditional arts. Which will include something special for every generation. Rekha Gupta said that to make the Teej festival special this year, the venue will be decorated with theme based grand decorations.
Full preparation to give digital experience
The entire complex will be prepared in accordance with the traditional Teej theme, in which 3-D entry gate, colorful chandeliers and lights, LED and spot lights will be used. Full preparations have been made to give digital experience to the people coming to this fair. There will be at least three theme based selfie booths at the venue, including an AR (Augmented Reality) selfie booth. Along with this, the facility of choosing mehndi design with the help of AI and applying it at the same place will also be provided.
More than 80 stalls will be set up
The Chief Minister said that more than 80 stalls will be set up to promote traditional art and culture in the Teej fair. These will include handicrafts, traditional clothes, bangles, block printing, embroidery, mehndi and traditional cuisine etc. Along with this, various competitions and stage competitions will be organized to encourage women.
These will include mehndi, rangoli, bindi decoration, Teej Queen, Teej Quiz and slogan writing competition. The winners of all these competitions will be given attractive prizes. A special fashion walk called Women in Green will also be organized on July 27, in which Miss Teej 2025 will be selected.
Arrangement of fun activities
The Chief Minister said that swings and fun activities have been arranged for women throughout the day in the Teej fair. Along with this, workshops focused on women empowerment, health and social issues will also be organized. Stories related to Teej will also be read every day, which will carry forward cultural knowledge and tradition. He said that a live exhibition of traditional arts will also be seen in the Teej festival. It will include live demonstrations of crafts like potter’s wheel, bangle making, weaving, block printing and embroidery, so that people can see, understand and experience these arts closely.
Apart from this, special attention will also be given to the entertainment of family and children in the fair. Kids zone has been arranged for children, where interesting and educational activities, story telling, magic shows and various games will be available for them.

The Chief Minister said that this year Teej festival will be celebrated all over Delhi with traditional enthusiasm, cultural dignity and grand events. She also said that the biggest strength for her is the trust of the people, especially those sisters who consider her as their representative and see the fulfillment of their dreams and rights through her.
Rekha Gupta said that she understands very well that her every decision and every initiative strengthens the confidence, respect and social participation of women.
